Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how PinTool ("PinTool", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the PinTool application (the "Service"), operated by Bùi Xuân Hùng ("the Operator").
1. Who we are
PinTool is operated by an individual, Bùi Xuân Hùng, based in Vietnam. For any question about this policy or your data, contact:

2. Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to operate the Service:
- Account information: name and email address, used to sign in and identify your workspace.
- Site and content data you provide: the website domains, sitemaps, article URLs, categories, and image/caption preferences you configure in PinTool.
- Pinterest information: the Pinterest username(s)/board names you specify so PinTool can suggest a matching board for each pin. If you choose to connect your Pinterest account, PinTool may also request read access to performance data for your own pins and boards — such as impressions, saves, clicks, and engagement — so you can see how your published pins are performing. PinTool never accesses your Pinterest password, and only requests the minimum read permissions needed for these features.
- Third-party API keys you provide: if you connect your own API keys for image-generation or AI-content services (e.g. OpenRouter, Runware), we store them so the Service can call those providers on your behalf. These keys are never shared with other users.
- Generated content: pin images, captions, and prompts produced through the Service, stored so you can review, edit, and export them.
- Basic usage/log data: standard server logs (timestamps, IP address, errors) used for security and troubleshooting.
3. How we use this information
- To operate core features: generating pin images/captions, matching pins to boards, and preparing exports.
- To maintain your account and workspace, and to keep different users' data separate from each other.
- To troubleshoot errors and keep the Service secure and reliable.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to train third-party models beyond what is required to generate the specific output you requested.
4. Pinterest performance data
If you connect your Pinterest account, PinTool requests read-only access to performance metrics (impressions, saves, clicks, and engagement) for the pins and boards belonging to that account, using Pinterest's official API. This data is:
- Used only to display performance insights back to you inside your own PinTool workspace;
- Never sold, shared with other users, or used for advertising;
- Accessible only to your own account — other PinTool users cannot see your Pinterest data.
You can disconnect your Pinterest account at any time, which stops PinTool from accessing this data going forward.
5. Third-party services
To generate pin content, PinTool sends the prompts/parameters you configure to third-party AI providers (such as OpenRouter and Runware) using the API key you supply. Each provider processes that request under its own privacy policy and terms. PinTool does not control how those third parties handle data beyond the request needed to fulfil your generation task.
6. Data retention
Generated pin images are automatically removed from our storage 60 days after creation to limit how long content is retained; the corresponding metadata (title, caption, board) remains associated with your account until you delete it. Pinterest performance data is retained only for as long as your Pinterest account stays connected, and is deleted once you disconnect it. You may delete sites, pins, or your account at any time from within the app; contact us if you need assistance.
7. Data security
Access to the Service requires authentication, and each account's sites, pins, and API keys are isolated from other accounts. We take reasonable technical measures to protect stored data, but no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing im.hungbui@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Cookies
PinTool uses a single session cookie required to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
